Safe Mode can be useful for diagnostics of your Windows operating system. Safe mode only loads necessary components and only displays in low resolution. Safe mode is useful for disk error checking.

1) Restart your computer.

2) The computer will restart and display the BIOS. What the BIOS displays is dependant on your system or motherboard manufacturer.

3) Immediately after the BIOS screen(s) press and hold F8 on your keyboard.

4) If the above method fails to work, press the F8 key rapidly immediately after the BIOS.
